criss cross

Assalamu'alaikum all

i am very busy and will be very busy but what's new right? haha!

so since i don't need to go out early in the morning tomorrow, i've decided to update this nonsense blog. seriously, i've totally lost the mood to blog these days. there is like, a whole load of stuff that are interesting enough for me to blog about, but every time i log in and write something worth a read, i lose focus and just stop halfway. sadly, i've lost my spontaneity in writing. AARGH!!!! that is really bad news. nevermind that.

so, the past week has been really eventful. had the lovely S504 class gathering last Friday, and it was great to see all those old faces. haven't seen people like Nizam, Syah, Nad, etc, in, years! Sadly, i had to leave early, so i didn't get to meet the latecomers. ah well, next time yeah? Insya'Allah. it's these little things, like our friendship, no matter how distant we are, that we should really appreciate and i hope we'll all still be friends for years to come ok?

Had to rush to 2 places on Sat. well, initially, i planned to go to Irsyad's Carnival with the S504  peeps but it so happened that we (FOC adhoc) had our 2nd newspaper collection that day too. plus, the Alumni Dinner committee held a rehearsal in the morning. so i had to forgo Irsyad's Carnival (sad, i really wanted to meet Mr Muneer, my chem teacher!), and went to the rehearsal, missing the first part of the Newspaper Collection. sad too, i wanted to be there from the start! and because of that, Shafeeq, as usual, just HAD to comment on that. HAHA. and thank goodness Zam gave us a ride to the 2nd checkpoint cos it was really frickin HOT. Alhamdulillah, we received a good sum of money, considering the circumstances were different from the 1st collection. Allah is just.

Sunday was another early day for me too. had our last (?) Syura meeting and Alhamdulillah, we have, with Allah's guidance, decided who will be the ones to take lead and be in NTUMS' 22nd Executive Committee. i will constantly pray for the well-being of this next exco, and also pray that Allah keep their hearts pure and true to follow His path, that their niat and also ours, will be, always, lillahi ta'ala, and let us never forget that whatever we aim to achieve, it is, in the end, lillahi ta'ala. only then can we succeed, insya'Allah. for the 22nd exco, may Allah bless whatever that you do in His name, amin.

Monday was also an early day, but this time, it was for some leisure. went for a game of Paintball with Taufiq, Farah, Zam, Abud and some others, and yes, it was AWESOME! it was a very last minute thing for me thanks to Taufiq, but yes, it was WORTH IT. i miss playing paintball. HAHA. Zam was Rambo-ing a bit at the start, and yes, being the shortest yet again, i was the one shooting from the tower. HAHA. yet again, i didn't get shot terribly even though i heard a lot of PINGs my way, the only direct shot i got was the one that hit my tudung. so no bruises, just like last time. haha. i got complains that i was too short and they couldn't see me so thats why i didn't get shot. yeah right. haha. After lunch, went to school to help out with the props making for Dinner but the meeting with Mrs Lam (?) was quite long, and in the end, i missed it.

Tuesday was a long day, cos the Proggies came over to my house for a meeting, and yes, it too was eventful. of course, they all went gaga over my little siblings. HAHA. don't worry guys, they'll be coming for the Alumni Dinner on Sat ok? so play with Adam sampai puas ok? haha. After the meeting, went to school for the Dinner briefing where Khairi momentarily forgot my name and called me DARA with an A at the back instead of an E... like using bahasa baku. thanks eh, now the rest won't stop calling my name like the way Ahmad does. sheesh.

Wednesday, or rather, yesterday, was another rehearsal, this time, we followed the timings as much as we could. had to choke up my acting skills for a while, to see how Ghaz and Ashraf would react to different kinds of audience. Zam called and asked this so not important question, which i found out later that he left Taufiq 4 missed calls just to ask the same question. And Taufiq sent us home! whee! of course, the ride was eventful as it is. i'm so not road-friendly. thats all i can disclose. haha. and oh i missed out that Nab can play the violin and i am oh so jealous! MashaAllah, it was beautiful i think. i've always daydreamt of playing a violin LOL. yes, using a hanger and a ruler and acting like i'm playing the violin, what nonsense!

so just now was another Progs meeting. the Games tryouts is just next week!!! get ready peeps! Alhamdulillah, we have somewhat finished our games program, more or less, it still needs some tweaking depending on the how the games tryout turns out. there are some stuff that we need to add/do too. and this monday, we'll be testing how well our games go. this sunday is our props making day too, so, adhoc peeps come down yeah! and and dinner together after games tryouts i hope!!! yeah people??!

tomorrow, more Dinner preparations. i'm coming down to help them decorate and stuff, and Saturday is D-DAY!!! Insya'Allah everything will turn out well, and so far, good job Dinner Committee! you guys have done well!

ok, that's basically all that i can come up with now. i just can't stop thinking about exam results next week. i've been reminding just about everyone about that. haha. i'm sorry, all i can think about right now are results, props for games and games tryout itself. i heard Along's results will be out tomorrow so good luck Sis!

that's about it i guess.. a VERY long post and VERY unimportant but, whatever. cheers!

of pearls and minuscule strands of...

i think that soccer finales for international leagues are usually rigged in order to create suspense to the last minute, and, i must add, to make it memorable for weeks or even years to come. i am kidding of course i don't believe that 75%, but i have reasons as to why i think so.

take for example Liverpool's win over AC Milan a few years ago. it went on to penalties, and that is ALWAYS bite-fingernails-pull-hair-roll-on-floor worthy. trust me, i did that and screamed a bit in the wee hours until dad went out looking panicked. HAHA.

and they did the same thing for the FA cup finals a couple of years ago.

and remember the latest World Cup? what Zidane did and all? *shakes head*

and of course, most most recently, the Man U vs Chelsea clash. like hello, Drogba was hilarious. in the heat of the moment, i understand why he slapped whatshisname. but still, funny. and i have to say that from observation, Man U's win was a fluke. but yet again, i don't complain when Liverpool won even though they attacked less, had less possession and shots and thus, made for a show that frustrates many, so, i'll let it go.
disclaimer: i am not, in any way, in any form a Man U or Chelsea fan. trust me, i *hate* them with a passion (ok lately i'm not a fan of the word hate, so, i'll restate that i dislike them with a passion)
however, i have a certain amount of respect for John Terry (do not ask me how i got this respect, be assured though that its not because of looks, i don't play like that HAHA). thus, when he missed that penalty, it was really sad. and i actually felt sympathy for Chelsea.
and watching the rerun of the match with 3 other Man U fans is so.. blargh.

i realised something. a lot, and i think maybe all, of the TPJC people i know are Man U fans, no? all of Along's TPJC friends are crazy Man U fans, including Haikal. i pity sis for having to endure his jab at her in the morning (this is a response to her blog entry LOL). i can imagine what he said. GRRR. haha no offense Haikal.

oh sheesh. i'm online, and already some people's MSN nick are about Man U. hooray i don't see Nazli online so wokay! haha.

i find it annoying that Man U fans, especially, like to take comfort in talking trash about my dearest Liverpool. if i hear another "Gerrard is in the wrong team" or "Rafa sucks" or "Crouch sucks" or "Liverfool" etc, i am going to restart a revolution. i'll go to the Kop and, hello, Liverpool fans are awesome so i have no doubt they will back me up in bringing everyone else down. HAHA much fantasy, cut the crap.
hello Liverpool, YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE. even Jordin Sparks sang that. i know i've been telling like every one how i'm surrounded by Liverpool fans but some people are really MIA. hello Mus the i'm-always-busy-with-NS, defend thy honour! where are you when Liverpool needs back-up? not in the field but in verbal fights. HAHA. ok whatever.

let's go back to the 1st statement of this post. okay, so fair enough, these finales are not rigged, but still, why is it always dragged to penalties, its so frustrating! make me cry and hit the sofa for nuts!

oh well, moving on, still on the subject of soccer, i just can't wait for Euro. please please Spain please do well this time. i am so glad England is not in the finals, i think they are so overrated. so, looking forward for Spain to kick butt. i'm most happy that Xabi Alonso and David Villa are in the team. of course, Torres in the team is like, duh. and of course, my Twin brother is in. happiness! twin brother is Fabregas, he was born 2 days before me. 2 or 3. it's quite weird not to see Joaquin's name in there. not so weird not seeing Raul in the team though. he's becoming parallel to Michael Owen. especially in internationals. boo. i'll most definitely be looking forward to see the defense line-up this time. Puyol better be at his best, he was so good in the 2006 World Cup that it was so unfair for me to see Spain out of the tournament. i think someone from defense that i expect to be there is missing. Ibanez is it?

ok let's stop talking about Spain for a moment. as you can definitely see, i'm all out for Spain to win. but i'll be on a lookout for Greece (Euro 2004 champions), Turkey (national anthem rocks my socks off), Germany (loyalty LOL), France (partial loyalty) and the 2006 World Cup champions, Italy. of course, the other teams look fierce as well, but i don't really care for Croatia, Russia and Romania cos i don't think i've ever watched any matches from these teams. and of course, i'll be hoping that Portugal does not even come close to smelling the trophy (cos of that Hazlee lookalike, Cristiano Ronaldo) now that Figo has retired. huahua. no offense Deco.

ok hello, too many things said about soccer. see Taufiq, not all girls watch soccer because of the guys eh! we have more substance than that! HAHAHA.

on another note, let us all give out our prayers to the victims and survivors of the Sichuan Earthquake and the Myanmar Cyclone disasters. may Allah reward those who've stood up and face the challenge He has tested against them, those who rose up to the occasion and did all they can in helping others even in their broken state.

for everything we do

Lillahi ta'ala.

we wait for answers

first off, HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY!

presently, i'm reminded of that song that Brother Helmi showed us yesterday. those who went to the NTUMS Syura Training Camp will understand. that song made a lot of people cry. even me. well, it's no surprise really for me to cry on songs that are centralized on 'mother'. more so when these songs tell the story of one losing his/her mother, or somewhere along the line. so, forgive me for not showing you people the video of the song or the lyrics, because, i will cry again. all i can say is that its very sad and heart-wrenching.

ok, i'm getting misty eyed again. haha.

but anyway, we celebrated mothers' day for 2 days! last night at the beach, and today. i made mom a special ice-cream sundae, and Along made the best looking cupcakes in the history of her making cupcakes. haha.

ok, this is something way out of topic. i've watched Anugerah Band (mom recorded it). my ears can burst in flames already eh thanks. most of the bands were 500billion % AWFUL! its either they can't sing, or they are so not synchronized (as in arrangement were totally off), or they are total posers, or they look like they've been living in the Ramli Sarip era. seriously i cannot tahan. but surprise surprise, i think i am gonna continue watching! THE HORROR!

reason being?

my cousin's in there! my Abg J-Boy (don't laugh eh thats what we call him) is in the band Rancour (is that how you spell it?). the tall, dark one. ah yes, the drummer. the one who got me listening to Green Day like, zillions of years ago. he's also the older brother of my other cousin who was in that nonsense show Danielle. the one whose name was Dani. who was also a drummer for that nonsense band haha. he decided to quit anyway. thank goodness. i don't get why these 2 are/were in a Suria production. they are making me watch Suria for goodness sake! which i prefer not to bother! sheesh!

oh no matter. please look out for my cousin!!!! i'm looking forward to see how well they do here hmm. i hope they don't try to sound like those Malay rock bands which are so gross. but i'm not sure how i can endure listening to the rest of the bands. this is gonna make me puke. haha

i guess thats all for now. cheers!

bends and breaks

"and i sit here waiting for nothing"

hello hello!

i just want to thank EVERYONE for their wishes on my birthday.
you people know who you are.
YOU GUYS RULE SO MUCH!
SO THANKS AGAIN!

in case you didn't know, i turned 21 yesterday. no comment
haha
i don't feel a day older. i might as well still be 20, or 19, or 18, or yada yada yada. hahaha!

i'm sorry if this post lacks enthusiasm. the you-know-what gave me a surprise birthday present. so the mood swings are still raw. LOL. i know that shouldn't be an excuse but seriously, i feel so not enthusiastic. but still happy so that doesn't matter!!!!!!

ok back to the topic of birthday. so. i got a balance of things i want and things i need for this birthday.  which means, rock on! for example, mom gave me a wallet. and it's something i don't want, but in dire need of. see, i've been using my old wallet since 2001. thats like, from sec 2. thus, it is, in very bad shape. and so i needed a new one, and voila! mother gave me a new wallet. the best thing is that it's black!

and emo sis gave me a drawing of the FIERCEST AND MOST FABULOUS AND MOST FLAWLESS person ever, CHRISTIAN SIRIANO! he's so fierce, love him!

ok i lost momentum to continue typing. like seriously.
but i just wanna really thank the Hallers/Plague people for the awesome birthday celebration cum bowling outing!!! even though the present was a bit yikes near the end. it's really great though, i'm so touched that you guys put in the effort to make me a blackbook LOL LOL LOL. i'll keep this in my time capsule guys (yes i have a time capsule i'm such a hardcore geek).. =D

ok i guess that's it. cheers!

p/s HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY DIDI my one day younger sister! hahaha. hey, she considered me her one day older sister back in Irsyad... haha!
